Ellen Wang joined the Foundation in 2015.
Ellen brings over a decade of experience as an educator in out of school time, K-12, and higher education. Prior to joining Nellie Mae, Ellen served as the Director of Youth Education at Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center, where she managed program evaluation, grant writing and cultivated and managed external partnerships with stakeholders in the community and Greater Boston school districts. Ellen is a former high school teacher, and has also served as a teacher educator at the undergraduate teacher education program at Northwestern University, and the Boston Teacher Residency (BTR).
Ellen received a B.A. in English from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, a M.A. in Humanities with a concentration in the Philosophy in Education from the University of Chicago, and has a certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the School of Management at Boston University.
